Is it me, or has this month been terrible for extroverts?

And this extrovert has HAD it. I may have to shelter at home, but that doesn't mean I can't throw a party...a Zoom party that is, and you're all invited.

This month's TechSparks Informal Office Hours will be on Thursday, 4/16, from 4-6PM on Zoom. We'll be hanging Per usual, it's BYOB (bring your own beer), but to the first time in TechSparks history, this event is pants optional. Please RSVP via Eventbrite, and we'll add you to our Zoom invite.

Thank you to my clients at The Cusp (expert menopause care via telemedicine) for letting us "borrow" their Zoom account.

Also, last month's Covid-19 outreach to small businesses and startups resulted in some responses that I wanted to share with you:

Podshare - Podshare is a local co-living company that pitched at TechSparks during its startup days. Podshare is asking for donations to their Covid-19 Relief Fund to help their long-term residents who are currently unemployed and unable to pay their rent. Click here to learn more.

WANA Family - WANA Family is a family-to-family babysitting exchange. Childcare is one of the biggest struggles right now, especially for essential workers whose children have been sent home from school. WANA is supporting these workers with their app and services. Click here to learn more.
Contract & Gig Workers - Some of the people most affected by Covid-19 are the contract and gig workers, especially those who are single moms or female head of households. Shana Zheng is currently running a GoFundMe to help raise funds and distribute them to the women who need it. Click here to learn more.

Capsul Jewelry- Capsul Jewelry is a customized jewelry startup based here in Los Angeles. Capsul Jewelry is feeling the crunch that many fashion and jewelry companies are feeling right now and offering 20% off site wide. Click here to learn more.

We've also been sharing Small Business Resources on our social media, but in case you missed it, the SBA is currently deploying hundreds of billions of dollars of assistance to small-to-medium-sized businesses (under 500 employees) and independent contractors. Visit SBA.gov to learn more, and if you're confused about how to utilize these programs, make sure to join us for our TechSparks Informal Office Hours. We're happy to help you with your questions!

I know this is hard times for everyone, and I'm definitely feeling the impact as well. But I want to also remind you all that we are entrepreneurs. We are the people who build something out of nothing, and there's no better time to do that than right now.

Stay safe, healthy, and 6-feet away from me.

Best regards,
Jennifer Chang
